The arrangement

Loomé & Rug may earn a commission when a reader follows a link from this site to a retailer and goes on to buy something. The price you pay is unaffected; the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not out of your purchase.

The rule that governs it

Sizing recommendations on this site are not influenced by whether a retailer pays a commission, or how much.

This is a practical commitment rather than a slogan. The recommendations here are clearances — 24″ of chair travel, 18–24″ past the bed, 4–6″ beside a runner. Those numbers come from the dimensions of American furniture and they do not change for anyone.

What this site will not do

It will not recommend a larger rug than a room needs. It will not describe a rug as suitable for a room it does not fit. It will not accept payment to place a link inside an existing article, and it does not publish sponsored or guest-written content.

Your rights

You are never required to use a link from this site. Every size, measurement and rule published here works identically whether you buy from a linked retailer, an unlinked one, or a local store.

Why this page exists

United States Federal Trade Commission guidance requires that any material connection between a publisher and a seller be disclosed clearly. This page is that disclosure.
